Generate USPS scan-based return labels from WooCommerce orders with upfront cost preview — and only pay when the customer actually ships.

Return labels that don’t gouge you.

Gorilla Return Labels for Woocommerce brings smart USPS scan-based return labels directly into your WooCommerce admin. Generate a return label for any order in under a minute, email it to the customer automatically, and only pay when USPS actually scans the package. No monthly fees. No per-label markup. Just a one-time license.

Only pay when the customer actually ships

Traditional return label tools charge you the moment you create the label — even if the customer never ships the package back. Gorilla Return Labels uses scan-based billing by default: the label is free to create, and you’re only charged when USPS scans the package into the mail stream. If the customer asks for a label and then ghosts you, you owe nothing.

**Note: the estimated shipping charge you see is based on the current rates of that day and it assumes the customer will ship it back in the same size package that it was originally shipped in. This is the one catch with return labels for any business… if the customer takes their little phone case you sent them and ships it back in a 10″ x 10″ x 10″ box with all sorts of packaging peanuts, you will end up paying for that oversized box. At Gorilla Dirt, our cousin website that this was original designed for and used for months, we created a shipping policy letting customers know that if they ship the return back in some oversized package, we would deduct x amount from their return. We also let them know in all return notices that this can happen if they don’t use their original size packaging. It has worked well for us.

Know the cost before you send

Every label comes with an upfront cost preview. Before you commit, you see the current USPS rate across Ground Advantage, Priority Mail, and Flat Rate services, a dimensional weight analysis that warns you when DIM pricing is about to hit, projected worst-case scenarios if the customer overpacks, a green/yellow/red risk badge at a glance, and a service recommendation with a ready-to-use packaging instruction you can paste into your customer email. No more generating a label for “probably $6” and getting surprise adjustment charges weeks later.

Built for real WooCommerce stores

Auto-fills parcel dimensions from your existing product data. Unit conversion handled automatically whether you use inches or centimeters, pounds or kilograms. Fully HPOS compatible. Supports unlimited return addresses, so shops that drop-ship alongside their own inventory can route each return to the right warehouse. And every time you verify or update product dimensions during a return, the plugin can save those corrections back to your catalog — passive cleanup without a dedicated cleanup project.

What you get

Cost preview with DIM weight warnings. Multiple return addresses. Automatic customer email with the label PDF attached and clear packaging instructions. Built-in debug tools to verify labels against EasyPost, fetch live status, and void unused labels. Full license management with a 14-day grace period for network issues. Onboarding wizard that walks new users through setup in five minutes. Lifetime plugin use, with one year of updates and support included.

Requires: WooCommerce 7.0+, WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+, and a free EasyPost account.

Why use EasyPost?

One simple reason: it is so much easier to connect to EasyPost than the hoops you need to go through to connect directly with USPS. We’ve used EasyPost for years and trust them, so it was a no brainer.
