Pressed by Sienna makes handmade press-on nail sets — and handmade is the whole challenge. Every set takes real hours to create, which means the store can’t just take unlimited orders like a warehouse brand. It needed a site that sells like e-commerce but respects the reality of a maker’s schedule.

So we built one. A custom WordPress theme and companion plugin, designed around the brand’s handcrafted feel — down to a Murphys, CA origin story built right into the packaging experience. No page builders, no generic shop template doing a boutique brand no favors.

The heart of the build is a capacity and waitlist system. When order slots for a production window fill up, the store doesn’t oversell and bury the maker — it opens a waitlist. Customers join with one click, get notified the moment a slot opens, and the brand gets something most small makers never see: a running list of demand it hasn’t even served yet. Sold out stops being lost revenue and becomes a marketing asset.

It’s the kind of problem big e-commerce platforms don’t even have a checkbox for — and exactly the kind of thing a custom build solves cleanly. Small business, one maker, real constraints: that’s who this stuff is for.
